Q2 Finishes List!

I am very excited because I finished 4 out of 5 of my Q2 Finish Along goals! Below are the projects that I completed. One of these days I will get around to writing blog posts about them, but for now Instagram works ;)

This is my #TheSmallWorldMini. It was one of my oldest UFO's that was in need of being pieced together and quilted. The pattern is by projectLeasa and you can find it HERE. I really stepped out of my comfort zone on the quilting for this quilt. I did everything with free motion quilting and about 8 different colors of Aurifil thread, and I embroidered the clock face with Aurifloss.

My next finish was this orange button down that I made for my friend Felice's spring Quilt Market booth. She just introduced her very first fabric line, Luna Sol, for Windham Fabrics and it is awesome. I let William choose which print to make the shirt out of, and he selected (in his words) "the fire bunnies".

I used the Ethan Shirt pattern by Sis Boom and made him a size 6 since he's not getting any smaller. I skipped button holes and buttons, and opted for pearl snaps instead. I ordered mine from Snap Source because they had a great selection of colors to choose from. Now I want to make a tinier version for baby #2 that will be here in October.

This quilt was my easiest finish because all I needed to do was hand stitch the binding. I made this quilt with a layer cake of Valentine's fabric and the Cluck Cluck Sew heart block tutorial. It was donated to a charity auction that my cousin organized to help central Texas flood and fire victims.

Finally, my final finish was my May the 4th swap. I used the Hunter's Design Studio free tutorial to make BB-8 for my partner, and I love how he turned out! I used Moda Bella Solids and some of my hoarded Lizzy House original Constellations fabric for the background.

The last thing on my Q2 list was a cross-stitch project that I got no work done on! I planned to work on it while on a road trip with my parents, but it was too bumpy driving down the road in the RV to count the linen for the x's. So I'll move that project to the non-deadline oriented pile :)

Are you participating in the 2016 Finish-A-Long? How many projects did you cross off your list?
