25 Before 25 Check In

It's that time again and I am getting close to my deadline for my 25 by 25 goals. Here is how I am doing so far.
  1. Finally lose those 10lbs that have been hanging on since having William.
    • I've been doing yoga every other day in the evenings, and today I am starting this workout. Hopefully it will help me achieve #10. If you use My Fitness Pal or RunKeeper, add me as a friend and we can cheer for each other!
  2. Complete 10 quilts (binding & all).
  3. Start making significant & consistent money from my Etsy shop.
    • If you haven't checked out my shop then you totally should :)
  4. Exercise at least 4 days a week. (this goes hand in hand with #1)
    • I'm holding steady at 3 times so far!
  5. Go camping as a family.
    • I'm going to cheat a little on this one and say we went camping with my parents when we drove the RV to Disney last October. We stayed at a campground so it totally counted :)
  6. Go to the beach as a family.
    • I'm hoping to head to Galveston or Corpus Christi sometime soon.
  7. Balance our finances and stick to a budget.
    • Done & Done :)
  8. Be able to run 5 miles without stopping. (again goes with the exercise thing)
  9. Grow my blog to at least 300 followers.
    • I made it to 301 followers! GFC & Bloglovin combined. Thank y'all so much for following along with my crafty journey!!
  10. Feel comfortable in a bathing suit again. (again exercise)
  11. Keep in touch with my girlfriends more.
  12. Save money and upgrade my camera to a DSLR.
    • probably not gonna happen :(
  13. Visit a state I have never been to before.
    • probably not gonna happen :(
  14. Bake soft pretzels from scratch.
    • Planning on making these for our Super Bowl party on Sunday!
  15. Get a family portrait taken.
  16. Start planning a wedding. This one hinges on Jeff's decision to make us "official".
  17. Have a pattern published in a Magazine or Moda Bake Shop.
    • I'm doing something special for an awesome site :) I'll share more about it soon!
  18. Read at least 25 books.
    • 5 down, 20 to go! I've started counting quilting books and such to the tally. Check out my Good Reads.
  19. Read to William more consistently.
    • We have story time almost every night :)
  20. Have an organized meal plan each week.
    • I don't always have exactly what we're having scheduled each night, but I shop for a weeks worth of meals when I go to the grocery store. It has worked out great and I find I buy less junk at the store now.
  21. Teach William how to do age appropriate chores.
    • He loves helping with the laundry and dishes, and is getting so much better at picking up his toys when he's done playing with them.
  22. Visit my brother more often.
    • Now that he is a stay-at-home dad, we hang out all the time!
  23. Open a savings account for William, and start saving for college.
    • DONE!
  24. Finish William's 1st year scrapbook.
  25. Make The Weekender Bag & The Aeroplane Bag
    • My awesome friend Kristan and I got together and made Aeroplane Bags while our little ones played. It was awesome and I love having a friend who loves the same things I do!
My Aeroplane Bag!
Well there it is! I've got 2 months and counting, wish me luck :)

  1. Good luck shifting the last 10lbs! They are always the hardest. Jillian Michaels Banish Fat Boost Metabolism did it for me.

  2. You are kicking butt!! HUGE congrats on the 10 pounds! I just started yoga and UGH it is harder than I thought lol are you following a dvd or what?

  3. Sounds like you are making great progress in your goals, girl! Way to go!! :) ...Your bag turned out super cute too! Nicely done ;)
