WIP Wednesday

I have been pretty busy these past couple of days. Yesterday I showed y'all the adorable quilt I made with a pattern called Grandma's Lawn Chair. The pattern is by Diane over at from blank pages.

This quilt was a secret until Diane released the pattern, and I am so happy I finally got to share it and be a part of her blog hop & giveaway :)

I still have the same things I have been working on plus a couple more. I completed the center medallion for my Marcelle Medallion quilt and I am in love! Jenn over at Penny Poppleton put together an amazing tutorial on how to make a template for English paper piecing & foundation paper piecing the center medallion.

I LOVE this! It turned out so much better than I was expecting! #mmqal #marcellemedallion

I finally cut into my cherished Constellations half-yard bundle for this, and I am so glad I did. This star is probably one my favorite things I have ever made! I'm in Austin for the week, so I brought my stuff with me hoping to squeeze in some sewing time.

My Shining Stars BOM is still sitting waiting to be finished. I really should do it because I only have 1.5 blocks to finish in order to be able to sew the top together. I keep getting distracted by other project though. I have total quilting ADHD.

My Sisters Ten modern BOM is almost complete! Anne Marie over at Gen X Quilters even had some awesome labels made on Spoonflower. I am so happy I ordered one from her. It is going to look great. Plus I really need to get in the habit of labeling my quilts.

That's all for me this week. I'm hoping to have a couple tops finished next week! Fingered crossed it happens.

  3. I love the constellations too, sadly I only bagged a FQ bundle and it's already 1/3 gone. It looks really great in your quilt - what;s the grey texture fabric you're using? Love the combination.

  6. Hilary, I love your medallion and was wondering if anyone's come up with a paper pieced version (I'm obviously behind the times with this one!). How long are you in Austin? I'd love to meet up if you're game :D
