Disney Almost Wordless Wednesday

Focused on the Magic

So this weeks theme for Disney Wordless Wednesday is Disney Weenies. I didn't know what this one was referring to at first, but after some research I figured it out. Walt Disney and his Imagineers used to use the term “weenies” to refer to something, such as park icons, which would draw the attention of park guests. Walt once said:
“What you need is a weenie which says to people ‘Come this way.’ People won’t go down a long corridor unless there’s something promising at the end. You have to have something that beckons them to ‘walk this way.’” -Source

Obviously the most iconic of all is Cinderella's Castle. The castles presence draws you down Main Street. I have to admit that, to this day, I cry every time I enter the Magic Kingdom and see the castle. I just can't help it. It's like a reflex programed into my body lol. My mom does it too.... maybe it's genetic haha

If you have never been to Disney around the holidays then you totally need to go. It is gorgeous, and the castle looks magnificent lit up at night.

Until next week :)
