Scrappy Trip Around the World Bee

I just recently finished up some blocks for my first quilting swap! I joined the Scrappy Trip Around the World Quilting Bee, put on by Julie at 627handworks. It was a lot of fun and I loved the Honeycomb of ladies that I was grouped with.

Each of the participants were grouped in Honeycombs of 6 people and we all made one scrappy trip block for each of the other members in our group. We all used this tutorial from Quiltville to make the blocks.

Folded pretty and getting ready to take to the post office tomorrow :)
I really loved being a part of this swap and I can't wait until round 2 signups begin :)

  1. Very nice blocks! That sounds like a fun thing to be involved with. I made an Around the World quilt as part of the Scrappy Trip-Along challenge this spring.

  2. The white, blue and grey block is my fave I think! I have made one of these scrappy trips and sold it within 6 months in my shop. Great feeling! Have fun with your swap!

  4. These are awesome! I love the top one! I learned how to quilt in high school and then promptly forgot everything since then, but I am trying to get back into it slowly!
