We're Going to Disney!

In exactly 2 weeks William, my Mom, my Grandma, and I are going to Disney World for the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival. Jeff and my Dad are not going on this trip because they both have to work, but we'll have a nice girls trip with William :) I have never been to Disney during the Flower & Garden Festival before, so I am thoroughly excited.

My grandmother loves to garden, so we have always wanted to take her to Disney during this time of year. I read that there are over a million flowers throughout the Epcot park during the Festival. The Festival runs from March 6th - May 19th and there are tons of additional things going on in Epcot, including the HGTV Designers Stage! Sara Peterson, the editor-in-chief of HGTV magazine, is going to be there the week that we are.

This trip will also be the first time that William flies on an airplane. I've been on a number of flights with children that scream the entire time, and I am having nightmares that William is going to do the exact same thing.

We're flying out of Austin and have a direct flight to Orlando. Thankfully, I have been to both of these airports multiple times and I am not worried about not knowing where to go. Plus we are flying on Southwest, and I have always had amazing experiences with them.

My brother and sister-in-law have flown with my nephew a couple of times and they said it's not that bad. They just held him in their laps and didn't buy him an extra seat. I spent the extra money and bought William his own seat because I know there is no way I could hold his squirmy butt for a 2 hour flight.

This way he'll have his car-seat, and hopefully that will make him comfortable and not so nervous about being in a new place. (he's getting to that stage) We even got a Brica Roll 'n Go Car Seat Transporter! It's this fancy thing to put the car seat on and pull it like it was a suitcase. Since we're not going to have the boys muscles :) I think the Brica will be a huge help at the airport.

When we get to Orlando, we are taking The Magical Express from the airport to our resort at Disney.

If you have never used The Magical Express when flying to Disney, you totally should. It's a charter bus that will pick you up at the airport, drive you to your resort, and pick you up and take you to the airport when you go home. Plus they get your luggage for you and deliver it to your room! You can find all the details here.

Well I guess I should probably start packing and making sure I have everything we need. Once again I'm going to cloth diaper William while we are at Disney. He's doing great with potty-training, but he's not ready to do it away from home yet.

Do y'all have any exciting trips coming up sometime soon?
